Almost all of us will end up caring for someone with dementia--or know someone who will. It is hard emotional work. Yes, there is love, but there is also fear, resentment, frustration, and guilt. It can be debilitating. Our conversation will be about things we can do to make us more resilient and, therefore, more loving and competent in the caregiving role. Catherine Sharpsteen, author of Something Happened to Al: A Dementia Chronicle and co-facilitator of the Wasatch Dementia Caregiver Support Group, will share what she has learned on her caregiver journey.
