Ashley Gurling is currently the Seminarian at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a Candidate for Holy Orders in the Diocese of Utah and has been a member of the Church of the Resurrection since 2015. She entered the formal discernment process in 2019 under the direction of the Rev. Lyn Zill Briggs, and after completing Clinical Pastoral Education at St. Mark’s Hospital, Ashley was granted postulancy for the Priesthood. Ashley is in her fourth year of the Masters of Divinity program at Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP) and will graduate in May. She has participated in the Preaching Excellence Program through the Episcopal Preaching Foundation and has served as the president of the hybrid student program at CDSP.
Ashley enjoys hiking, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her two children, Adeline (13) and Wesley (8), and her husband, Mark. She loves building connections with people and engaging in meaningful conversation. She is thrilled to be joining the St. Luke's community and looks forward to starting on June 18th.
