Both services at St. Luke's on July 12th will be canceled so that the parish can worship outdoors together at Camp Tuttle with people from across the diocese. Reverend Ashley+ will be the officiant and preacher that day. The service begins at 10:30 a.m.; plan on bringing something to share for an outdoor coffee hour (or bring a picnic lunch), and we will enjoy the beautiful scenery together as a diocesan family.

The address for Camp Tuttle is S Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. It takes 28 minutes to get there from Park City. Here are the directions:

1. Follow Heber Avenue to Deer Valley Drive

2. Follow UT-224 S and Guardsman Pass Rd to E Camp Tuttle Rd in Salt Lake County

3. Turn left onto E Camp Tuttle Rd

Once you arrive at the gates, you will find a dirt and gravel road, but the distance to drive is only short. The terrain is hilly, but the outdoor worship space is in a meadow. Once you park, you’ll need to hike down a short hill. They do have an indoor chapel in case of inclement weather, along with a lodge. The Camp is comprised of many small cabins. Wear whatever outdoor attire makes you comfortable, but don’t forget sunscreen, hats, and water.

For anyone who is nervous about traversing the small hill down into the worship area - camp staff has a truck that can drive people down to the worship area from the parking lot. If you cannot easily navigate the terrain, this option is for you.

For those who cannot attend in person, our AV team will be livestreaming the service. Please watch for a link.

See you there and remember to bring something to share during coffee hour!
