At St. Luke's, children and teens are an important part of our church community. From preschool through high school, we create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, worship, serve, and participate in the life of the church.

Children's Ministry (Pre-K - 5th) and Teen Ministry (6th-12th) meet at 10:30 Sunday Mornings, first half of worship service.
We don’t seek to create identical beliefs, but to help young people discover and deepen their own relationship with God. We encounter God through shared experiences both in and beyond the church—through Scripture, tradition, reason, worship, community, and honest conversation with one another.
We help young people:
Encounter Jesus
Read Scripture critically and faithfully
Ask difficult questions
Understand Episcopal identity
Develop a life of prayer
Practice compassion
Recognize injustice
Discover their own voices
Understand baptism as a call to action
Experience church as a place where they genuinely belong
Through it all, we hope young people grow into thoughtful, compassionate people of faith who know they are loved, valued, and called to make a difference in the world.
The Children’s Ministry and Teen Ministry team up on the first Sunday of each month during the school year to help lead St. Luke’s worship service.
All are welcome; there are roles for all ages and any experience level! From reading the lessons, carrying the cross or torches, helping with the collection plate, to passing out communion, participate in whatever way you feel comfortable. Just show up on the first Sunday and join us; no preparation required!
Leading the service helps our young members build a sense of belonging at St. Luke’s and is a wonderful way to connect with the Episcopal Tradition. Each time they step in front of the congregation, they remind us all that youth are full members of the Body of Christ, now and always.
