Chapel Altar Guild - Leslie Wood
Although our Sunday congregation consists of only 12 – 16 people, we have dedicated altar guild members. The time spent setting up the altar on Saturdays in this small space is very peaceful.
In addition to setting up and taking down the altar, the altar guild person picks up two small flower arrangements donated by The Silver Cricket florist. The empty vases are returned during the week following each service for a new arrangement.
When winter rolls around, the 7:45 AM service moves to the education room in the main church. It is the responsibility of the altar guild to make sure that everything needed for the morning service is moved from the chapel.
Church Altar Guild - Myra Herzog
Members of the Altar Guild prepare the Sanctuary and the Altar for the 10:30 AM Sunday Eucharist. Lately, we have been meeting at 1:00 on Saturdays, but the timing can be flexible. We dress the church and Altar with the appropriate colors for the season, fill candles, and set out the elements for the Eucharist. After the service on Sunday, we clean and care for the used Altar linens and vessels. Working together is a great time of fellowship and service to the parish. We'd love to have you join our team!
