Dear Parish family,
Last week you should have received a hard copy of a letter from the vestry (and signed by our Senior Warden) in the mail. The letter provided an update on the chapel. Unfortunately, the church office accidentally printed an earlier draft of that letter that left out important information. I caught the error right before the letters were mailed out and unstuffed and restuffed envelopes with the correct version. It has since come to my attention that at least one of those envelopes was missed and that that parishioner received the earlier letter missing crucial information. I am sending the correct letter out electronically here with the updated information in bold in case this same error occurred with anyone else. To summarize that information: Park City officials have told us that the chapel cannot be moved anywhere outside of Park City proper, under any circumstances (due to it's historic connection to Park City). "Outside" includes our property in Kimball Junction. They also told us that even if we had property inside Park City, they would likely deny a request to move it (a moot point because we do not have property in Park City proper). Our historic chapel is rich in Anglican tradition and has deep roots in Park City and emotional value for many in our parish. I want to acknowledge the grief that can sometimes come with change and encourage any of you to seek pastoral care from myself, Reverend Sandra, or Anne-Marie if desired. The Vestry will continue to update you as we pursue this path and want to reassure you that careful attention, prayer, and deliberation is being taken by all.
Your sister in Christ,
Reverend Ashley+
