"For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and tells you: Do not fear, I will help you." -Isaiah 41:13
A Note from the Children's Ministry
Last Sunday, we discussed "Fear." It's no surprise that our kids had some profound thoughts on this topic! Here are some of the things they said during our discussion:
"The enemy loves our fears." -Harvey Mack, 5th Grade
"Fears are like cracks in your heart, and the enemy can use those to get in." -Mabel, 2nd Grade
"If you let fear take over, you can't fully trust God,and you can't be who you want to be." -Josephine, 4th Grade
But what can we do when faced with our fears? Or with uncertainty? Advice from St. Luke's kids:
"Take a deep breath. Keep going. PRAY. And Ask God for help!"
May you work through your fears this week, with God's help. Amen!
Sincerely,
Laura Nickerson
